Summary
Dr. Givens earned his B.S. degree with honors, from Morehouse College. He then received his D.D.S. degree from Indiana University School of Dentistry. Following dental school, he completed a two year general practice residency at NC Memorial Hospital in Chapel Hill, NC. Dr. Givens has also completed extensive continuing education in cosmetic dentistry, oral surgery, crown & bridge dentistry and restorative implant dentistry. He is also a fellow in the Academy of General Dentistry.
On A Personal Note:
Dr. Givens and his wife Linda, a pediatrician in Charlotte, have two children. For several years, Drs. Michael and Linda Givens have gone on Christian medical-dental mission trips to Kenya, bringing much needed dental and medical care to the underserved people in remote areas.
