Dr. Michael Jay Glantz, MD

I was diagnosed with NHL. It had taken the vision from my right eye and was found in my spinal fluid. Dr. Glanz wanted me to start chemo. The phlebotomist disagreed completely. Johns Hopkins said I should wait and see if it the cancer presented somewhere else. They didn't think there was enough found to start treatment. Wills Eye agreed with Dr. Glanz. My family and I agreed with him as well. Difficult to know you have cancer (I'd had it several years prior as well) and not treat it. Dr. Glanz was kind, thoughtful, and he spoke to me and my family in terms that we could understand. Took his time and answered all of our questions. If it hadn't been for him...who knows if I would be here today. Thank God for Dr. Glanz.

Terrible experience with this Dr. My mom had PCNSL. We rarely saw Dr. Glantz unless it was clinic day and then it was very fleeting. If we had questions when we were at home, it was impossible to speak to him via phone or get a response from his nurse. When he stopped treatment, he told us via a message that he left on our answering machine and then refused to return our phone calls when we wished to speak to him in person.

Dr. Glantz cares about his patients .

impossible to communicate with the doctor. not available - no backup. calls to the office hang-up (voice mails must be on overload). doesn't seem to care about the patient, absolutely NO follow-up with the patient and family members, unaware of what is happening to the patient

Dr. Glantz was on staff at the University of Utah and got fired because he was in cahoots with a medical student. He was fired from the University and her career ended prematurely

My husband sees Dr. Glantz as a neuro-oncologist and he is truly a remarkable man. We are so happy that he is our doctor. He takes his time with us and reasonably explains everything. This will be my husband's third brain surgery, but his first with Dr. Glantz as his neuro-oncolgist. We are so thankful that he is a part of our team.

Dr.Glantz was my Husband's Oncologist after he had a Brain tumor removed and he helped us in so many ways to get through this hard time in our lives. He is a very caring man and when he talked to you he used terms you could understandand he has a great sense of humor as well.He is no longer our doctor because he moved out of state and we are going to miss him very much.
