Dr. Michael Edward Godzala III, MD

So I don’t really know. I’ve been seeing Dr. Godzala for a while now and he still remains a mystery. Not sure what I’m supposed to expect from him. Overall I don’t have many complaints.

I have been seeing Dr. Godzala for about two months. When I first saw him he didn't even do an evaluation. He asked me what I thought was wrong and what needed to be done about it. He put me on a mood stabilizer that I had been interested as well as an antidepressant that I had told him I had been on before and had put me in the hospital for making me manic. We also discussed ECT treatment which he said we could look into if these meds didn't work. A month later I saw him again. No, "How've you been?". He immediately asked, "Are your medications giving you any side-effects?" And when I said no he just immediately tried raising the doses on them. I told him that I didn't want that and I wanted to discuss ECT. He referred me for ECT and then refused to send them my medical records when I requested them. Finally he sent them a handwritten list I had made with my med history on it, which was obviously denied by my insurance. Come to find out - he never got my records from past… psychiatrists! He's been treating me this whole time without knowing what other doctors did or found and he never even evaluated me. It's hard to even call him a doctor at this point.

This doctor is not ready for practice. He has taken me and others OFF of our meds after knowing us for very little time, needless to say it has been very horrible latley for me and my family. He has only been in practice for 2 years, and is still a student. Do not see him, he is not ready.
