Dr Michael Gorton, MD

He did a quintuple cabg on me. He took time to explain everything beforehand. He sat with my family right after the procedure. He has come in my room to check on me everyday, even on the weekend. Dr. Gorton is the best doctor I have ever had in any specialty. There was no pain to top it off.

Dr. Gorton put me at ease in the scariest moment of my life when i was seventeen. He completed my surgery when other surgeons told me they were not equipped or did not have the expertise. Eight years later and I'm doing great. Dr. Gorton and his staff at ku med are to thank. He saved my life and touched my heart . . . Literally.

He is a god send. Dr. Gorton and his team saved my husbands life! There is no one else that I would trust more than him in this field of medicine. I won't get into what was wrong, other than to say there is very few, if any people that survived what he went through and it is because of Dr. Gorton and his team!

This is the doctor you want when times are tough. He has pulled me through many life threatening situations in my life. There is not enough room here to list all of the great comments I would give to Michael Gorton. He is the kind of doctor that all of the others wish they were.

Dr. Gorton has incredible surgical skills but he also truly cares about his patients and takes the time to explain things not only to his patients but to the families as well. Dr. Gorton is an incredible person with a precious gift.

Dr. Gorton conducted my daughter's open heart surgery and did a fantastic job. He is in a league of his own.
