Dr. Michael William Grafe, MD

I went to Dr. Grafe for a carpel tunnel problem. He listened closely, offered advice and options, and communicated in a very caring way. The surgery was planned very well, and carried out at the beautiful Sutter Health Surgery and Endoscopy Center. I could NOT be more pleased with the entire process. The surgery was spectacularly successful and I now have total use of my right hand. Additionally, I will be returning to Dr. Grafe for the same surgery on my left hand soon.

Dr. Michael Grafe is a real expert. He performed a Carpal Tunnel surgery on my hand and did a great job. He is also very nice and personable. He called me a day after the surgery to see how I was doing and gave me good advice and reassurance. My hand has healed very well and I am very grateful.

Dr. Grafe didn't like me asking for a pain management referral, he didn't have to do surgery I was happy but it doesn't make the big $$$ So I found out in work comp court by the insurance's attorney he decided he didn't want to help me anymore. He had his receptionist call my adjuster to email me. I found it when I got home after court.REAL PROFESSIONAL.BAD ATTITUDE.. Yes he takes 5 minutes and does he make $$$$$ on work comp yes he does. OUCH

First off, the waiting room was backed up (30+ minutes). Then I sat in the room for at least another 20 minutes or so. I found Dr. Grafe to be very condescending. I have never felt that way before with any other doctor - ever. I got the feeling that he didn't think my problem was significant and that perhaps he had more important things to tend to. What a waste of time and money. I was very dissatisfied and will not recommend him to anyone.

My first visit with Dr. Grafe was very disappointing. I took a day off of work to see Dr. Grafe and he spent a total of 5 min. with me basically asking ME to diagnose myself. Dr. Grafe was very condescending. I feel like seeing Dr. Grafe was a complete waste of time and money, I would not recommend him to anyone.

I would really check this doctor out before you let him recommend a surgey that you most likely would not need. Get a second opinion from a doctor that has more experience otherwise you will make the same mistake that I did.

Dr grafe is an excellent surgeon. I have been under his care for 4 yrs now. He has been very helpful and I have no complains about him.

Dr. Grafe is an outstanding physician. He was able to diagnose my problem, articulate it to me as well as explain the procedure to correct it and put me at ease. Pre-op and post-op he was very engaged and took pains to explain to me what would happen and what would go on during recovery. On a scale of 5, i would give Dr. Grafe and his staff a '6'!
