Dr. Michael Lee Granberry, MD

Dr. Granberry did a full hip replacement on me. During surgery he broke my hip bone that is a support bone for the replacement. Placed the implant too high and now I have a permanent limp, can’t lift that leg out to the side. Had to have 2 additional surgeries and can not do the little things like wear flip flops because I have to wear a prosthesis to even me out and can’t get in and out of the car on the passenger side without physically reaching down and lifting up my left leg and putting it in the car, no more getting in and out of a kayak. Basically ruined part of my life. Had a major infection!!

I need to have knee surgery but this doctor wants to milk every $50 co pay he can out of you before he will do surgery. The only pain med. he will give is Tramadol. Since it makes me nauseated to the point that I can't function, I have NO recourse with this doctor. He said take the Tramadol or come in for a shot. He will not do the surgery as long as the shots are working. So he prefers that you flounder in pain when ever the knee gives out. I have NO life, and he could careless...can't hike, bike, do aerobics, work in the yard, go shopping, just taking care of business is difficult. Since I live on my own, I am isolated and have no one that can help. This man is cruel and couldn't careless. I have to look for a new doctor - thanks for nothing!

Unfortunately Dr. Granberry has ruined not only my health but my life. Eight years ago he did surgery on my leg to remove a cancerous tumor. He did not wait for the neurologist to mark the nerves in the leg. He wanted the tumor. We had made a deal he would not remove my leg no matter what and I could keep my leg. However I underestimated his will to have that sexy 27 inch tumor. Then when I reported to him I was in constant nerve pain from the surgery he said I needed prozac. I however have now spent 800 dollars a month to have the scar numbed and have no need for prozac. It is a shame he has not been run out of practise on a rail. But this group as with AOC has all the lawyers from here to Birmingham on retainer to cover their loses. SO sueing was out of the question. I have since run into his work over the years. And each person tells the same story and each person regrets with all their being working with this uncaring man. He doesn't listen to your concerns you get your five… minutes for fifty dollars and he could care less if he has made a mistake he just wants to cut on you. So beware. This group has several questionable doctors in the practice. So stay away. If I could rate this doctor on my own scale it would be dangerous and stay away a one is the lowest but the scale is inaccurate in his case.
