Dr. Michael David Greene, MD

At least on 2 occasions after coming to see Dr. Greene for my annual physical, I was overcharged. My annual physical is covered 100% as a preventive visit. What happens is that the doctor would ask you a few questions about your health, for example if you have sleep problems. Once you say that you don't sleep well, he would offer to prescribe sleeping pills. Later they send you a bill for the office visit even though you only came for the covered annual physical. I was told by their billing person that a doctor is supposed to inform a patient about additional charges if a doctor discusses other health issues. Dr. Greene never warns a patient. I find this dishonest. Also, some employees, like Mary (who refused to provide her last name) are very rude. I suggest people stay away from this doctor's office.

My wife and I were patients of Dr Greene's for over 10 years. Over a 2 year period I had microscopic blood in my urine that Dr Greene said he would follow, but never did anything about. After the 3rd year of this I switched doctors only to find out I had Bladder Cancer. If it had been caught earlier I would still have my Bladder. Dr Greene did not do the proper follow up, including referring me to a Urologist who was able to diagnosis my cancer with a quick scoping of my bladder. If Dr Greene had referred me immediately, at least within the second year, I would still have a Bladder. The care I received from Dr Greene was poor at best. If it had been better I would still have my bladder.

Dr. Greene is the best. I just can't stand the office staff. They make it brutal to communicate and brutal to deal with...They need office manors.

I've been very satisfied over the many years I've been with Dr. Greene. It's a small practice so there are some advantages and disadvantages, but the advantages are far more significant. Dr. Greene knows when to hand you off to a specialist and has always given me referrals that have worked out well. Most of the time however, he has been able to handle the one or two complaints I have in a year without excessive tests or follow up appointments.

As soon as you enter the office it's dark and old. Once you talk to the staff they are harsh, not patient friendly seaming like just a business. I requested a routine and free check up through my health plan. They scheduled me purposely to see the Dr which resulted in an over $50 charge. It was a brief and unnecessary conversation when I requested only the tests. When I called the billing person she was rude, disrespectful and hung up on me. She was the one who wrongfully scheduled me and would not admit to it probably worried about getting in trouble for her inefficiency. I am highly unsatisfied and would not recommend him due to his staff.

Researched this doctor based on this website and insurance accepted. When I contacted his office for an appointment, I was told he does not accept Cigna. FAIL!!
