I'm a native Texan from the Dallas/Ft. Worth Metroplex. I began my career in dentistry as a dental technician in my father's dental laboratory. My professional education began at Texas Wesleyan in 1978 and I graduated from UTHSC Houston in 1986. I've practiced here for 10 years and 6 years ago I began practicing orthodontics.
Our Philosophy
Here at Grinview Smiles we put our patients first. Not only do we offer quality general dentistry but we are very unique in our orthodontic idea. Most Dentist/Orthodontist would tell you to wait until your child is 12 or 13 for braces and may possibly need extractions. Not only do you have the hassle of longer appointments, broken brackets, and the metal mouth appearance but you will also have to wear a retainer to avoid any relapse. Our approach is to start your child as early as possible. We like to straighten teeth as they are growing in. We use a system of arch developers to widen the palate, expand the arch, make a bigger …broader smile to avoid the need of extractions, and to minimize a concave profile later in life. After the arch developers, we then fit your child for a Myobrace. The Myobrace not only gives your child a beautiful straight smile but it corrects bad facial muscle habits such as tongue thrusting, mouth breathing, reverse swallowing, snoring, TMJ, sleep apnea, and more.
