Dr. Michael David Grossman, MD

Dr. Grossman serves as Section Chief of Surgical Critical Care for St. Luke's Hospital & Health Network. He specializes in the following:
-Trauma
-General Surgery
-Critical Care

Dr. Grossman has played an integral role in the trauma and emergency medicine programs at St. Luke's. Key accomplishments include:
-Established the St. Luke's Trauma Center as a faculty member of the PENN Trauma Network in 1997
-Has been in his current role as Chief of the Division since 1997 and has overseen the growth and expansion of Trauma, Surgical Critical Care and Emergency Surgery
-Maintains an active role in clinical research with multiple citations and book chapters published during the past decade
-Developed the Trauma/Emergency Medicine Fellowship, a unique training model that offers an additonal year of advanced training in trauma and Criticial Care to residents who have completed training in emergency medicine. The program is now in its sixth year and Dr. Grossman serves as acting program …director.
-Was invloved in the planning and establishment of a residency in trauma and crticial care for advanced practicioners, now in its third successful year. Dr Grossman co-directs this program with Laurie Wilson, PA.
-Maintains a close working relationship with the University of Pennsylvania Trauma Network.
