Dr. Michael Alan Harma, MD

He is a good doctor but very hard to get a call back when you leave a message and to make appt your put on hold and get disconnected.

Excellent doctor. Listens and takes his time with you. Good at diagnosing. My husband and I trust him with our lives. Staff is excellent with the exception of his Medical Assistant who is rude and ignorant. But it's the doctor that counts so we overlook that.

HE's a gentleman.

He's a nice young man but I think he's paranoid. He doesn't want to handle anything that might be challenging. Rather then taking your symptoms as a whole and coming up with a proper diagnosis .. he's fast to pass you on. With this in mind, it makes it completely impossible for any one physician to come up with a properly diagnoses. How could they if your seeing twenty different doctors for twenty different symptoms. I spent a year with him and it felt like a roller coaster. I was being sent back to physicians I've already seen with no real explanation. I now know what I have but with no thanks to him. If I went along with his plan this would have gone undetected for a number of years. That I'm sure of!! His approach to handling problems was horrific. What I have is quite common and didn't require a specialist. It required a doctor who not only listened but had the ability to hear. Dr Harma was great at the listening but heard absolutely nothing. The only thing going through his… mind was the next specialist on his list. I urge anyone seeing this man to beware of this approach. Sometimes a specialist is required but other times it's just passing the buck ... and at your expense. Beware!!!

Dr.Harma has been excellent in the treatment of the terrible head pain I receive since I was in a accident that caaused tramatic brain injury. He sent me to a new nuerologist to see if she had any suggestions or the same as my regular nuerologist and the second nuerologist told us all the tramatic brain injury was all in my mind and all i needed was theraphy. Dr. Harma has filed a complaint for me against the second nuerologist.He has been by my side during this ordeal.both of my CAT and MRI show brain injury I am one lucky person to haave him as a doctor

I would highly recommend Dr. Harma. I was looking for a new doctor (I did not really enjoy the atmosphere at my old doctor's office). I made an appointment at Alliance Medical in Middlebury and Dr. Harma was accepting patients. He was very thorough in gathering my medical history and had wonderful listening skills. Actually felt like I was not being rushed out of the examination room. At the time I was diagnosed with Lyme disease and he was great at helping me treat this. Great at follow ups and even asking to communicate with other physicians I am seeing for other medical issues. This doctor really cares and as I mentioned is very thorough! My husband also goes to him and Dr. Harma has been great in helping him treat his celiac's disease! He has mentioned things (treatment wise) that were never mentioned by my husband's specialist that have helped him. Great doctor! : )
