Didn’t examine me, spent about 2 minutes and was gone after I asked him how long he thought I’d be there (his answer: can’t tell you but you’ll be going home). I complained numerous times to the nurse about chest pain, and my blood pressure was through the roof, but received no help until the shift change and the next doctor immediately examined me and told me she was admitting me (I ended up being admitted for 5 days). While he was pleasant with me, I didn’t feel comfortable with his lack of attention to some of my presenting issues. Unfortunately, when you’re working in a specific speciality for too long without movement to other areas and experiences, with too much stress, and far too many patients I think you become immune to your patients’ concerns and overlook things. You just want to clock and and clock out—which is how I felt this went. Who would release a patient whose blood pressure is 212/112, that keeps expressing discomfort, and had just had a seizure—without examining… them?!

Short with his patients. Ignored everything that was said. Walked out of the room when he was being talked to or asked a question. Very bad bedside manner. Doesn't test patients for their problems, just tells them that they don't have a problem and they are faking it.
