Dr. Michael J Helgeson, DDS

Dr. Michael Helgeson is one of Apple Tree's four founders. He majored in Physics at St. Olaf College and graduated from the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry in 1984. Following dental school, he completed two years of post-graduate training in geriatric dentistry at the University of Minnesota. From 1986 to 1990, Dr. Helgeson served as a United States Public Health Service dentist in East St. Louis, Missouri. In 1991, he returned to Minneapolis to serve as Apple Tree's Executive Director. In 1992 and 1993, he was a Minnesota Area Geriatric Education Center Fellow. Since 1991, Dr. Helgeson has held an appointment as a Clinical Assistant Professor at the University of Minnesota. He is currently President-elect of the American Society of Geriatric Dentistry. What does he like most about Apple Tree?
