Dr. Michael Shane Higginbotham, MD

I awoke with severe flu symptoms. I called the clinic and asked them to call in Flu medication. She said I would have to come in. I told her I was just too sick to go in. I told her that if I could manage to dress I would go to emergency room. She refused any medication after I begged, however she told me, not to go to emergency room as they would “receive a negative mark”. I am a 67 year old female senior and I was sick for over a week with the flu. It’s not as if I was asking for a control substance.

Dr. Higgenbotham is a very caring individual who ALWAYS listens, really listens, often finding clues to a medical problem that the patient is experiencing, even before the first tests are done. I've personally seen this doctor solve issues for both myself and my husband that other doctors paid no attention to over the years so we'd just gotten used to the symptoms and barely mentioned them. It was nice to finally find a doctor who is so good at diagnostics and doesn't jump to conclusions or miss symptoms. I know he must be really busy at times, but that doesn't keep him from paying attention to the patient at hand. We drive an hour to get to his clinic, rather than go to doctors closer by who are less thorough or caring, and we meet a lot of other patients who do the same. If he can't work you in for something that comes up between appointments, his office almost always can work you in with someone else there or they have evening clinic, so he makes it very convenient to get the… medical help you need.

I was greeted by a friendly receptionist. the nurses were very friendly. and the doctor was very friendly and treated me and my daughter with respect

i've been going to dr. higginbotham for years. his staff is always courteous and i've never had any problems.

I liked Dr Higginbotham because he genuinely cares for my needs. He takes time to listen every time. He is fantastic!
