Dr. Michael Ishioka, MD

Dr. Ishioka was my primary care physician for about fifteen to eighteen years, I believe, and would be still if I had not moved out of state. Always listened carefully, and responded kindly and clearly. Diagnosed correctly and figured out the treatment that I needed. On a few occasions he even e-mailed me articles that were helpful for dealing with my health concerns. When I developed mysterious symptoms he referred me to a well-qualified oncologist who correctly diagnosed the very rare cancer that I have. You would think that with such excellent care the waiting time to see him would be long, but not so. I don’t think I ever spent more than ten minutes or so in the waiting room. Sometimes if I arrived early I was even seen early. His office has a policy of not overbooking. If I became ill suddenly I was generally able to get an appointment the same day.

Dr. Ishioka is clearly someone who cares about his patients. He takes the time needed to understand your condition and symptoms. He is clear and empathetic in his communication. And he provides excellent referrals when more specialized care is needed. I would definitely recommend him as a primary care provider. I have been a patient of his for the last four years.
