Dr. Michael Rene Kurt Jacoby, MD

I have been seeing Dr. Jacoby for years for a chronic condition. I received a thorough initial evaluation where I believe Dr. Jacoby has consistently listened to my concerns & answered my questions. He is direct, which I prefer. The office staff as has been difficult at times but seem to be working together and are helpful now. It is important to be early for appointments at Ryan neurology. I am a RN and I believe I get good care there.

We arrived early, appointment was on time as scheduled, A very good no nonsense straight forward attitude. A thorough discussion and exam for the problems I’m experiencing. A caring efficient honest doctor. I’m so glad this is the doctor we got.

i made one complaint which ended up being a misunderstanding and i apologized for my complaint and dr jacoby dumped me as a patient. apparenty he doesnt tolerate complaints. he and his nurse are unprofessional jerks and i would not recommend him!!

Tested for seizures - negative. I had described my symptoms from the last six years. I'm bright enough to know the symptoms could not be ignored. He managed exactly that.

I think Dr. Jacoby knows his discipline of medicine well. He lacks the soft skills that could make him more favorable and ultimately trustworthy. Not unusual from medical practitioners but a little goes a long ways. Mental diseases are very scary to people.I think a little less Napoleon and a little more Dr. Phil would go a long ways for this dude.

I disagree with the poor bedside manner. He's direct, blunt, to the point some people may not like that and/or some people don't appreciate hearing a blunt truth but I personally appreciate it, Dr's aren't there to be your new friends, I found him to be friendly and precise. He patiently answered all my questions, spent adequate time with me, I didn't feel rushed like with some Dr.'s. And he explained my procedure every step of the way.I would highly recommend him to anyone needing a Dr. of his specialty.

He did not truly listen to the patient and had his mind made up to what his theory was and there was no other answer. No suggestions on further tests ' We will never go to him again. Wasted day.

Elderly patient was on time for appointment by office clock. Staff informed spouse that they were late. Staff denied access to Doctor. Spouse checked with front desk at 45 minutes after scheduled appointment time access still denied. Patient was in severe pain in waiting room all of this time and was not seen. Staff informed spouse that they did not know when patient would be seen. Spouse took patient home. Patient was in agony and staff did not display compassion nor duty of care toward ill elderly patient. Staff displayed age bias and age discrimination and showed no quality of care.

Dr. Jacoby was very professional, very personable, and took the time to explain my diagnosis and treatment. I would definitely recommend him.

I was scheduled with Dr. Jacoby through my regular doctor. The day before the appointment we found these reviews and became very concerned. However, after meeting with Dr. Jacoby, I have no clue what the reviews were talking about. I have been to several doctors over the last 12 years and Dr. Jacoby was one of the better doctors I have seen. If he did not understand what I was saying he would ask another question giving me a chance to better explain. He was very pleasant and his staff was wonderful. I had a 10am appointment and was taken to the room at 10. After 5 minutes of questions from his nurse, we only had to wait another 10 mins for him to come. He showed concern and compassion for my situation. I am glad I went instead of cancelling because of the few reviews I saw posted on this sight.
