Dr. Jantz saved my life by his immediate actions to determine what was causing my unusual symptoms. Within a day he did Ct scans, X-rays and a biopsy to reveal the fact that I had a lethal bacterial infection that required the intervention of Infectious Disease doctors. Without his aggressive therapies I have no doubt the outcome would have been deadly. I have progressed from months of IV therapy to now being maintained on oral antibiotics 8 months after his initial diagnosis. Thank you to Dr. Jantz and the wonderful Shands Infectious Disease doctors involved in my care for the past 8 months.

After being dx with a rare disease and receiving a treatment plan from another department at Shands and given a grim prognosis, I had the pleasure of consulting with Dr Jantz. Dr Jantz took a more aggressive and proactive approach. Not only did he treat my lung involvement, he considered my entire spirt mind and body. Because if his care, not only did I surpass the prognosis given to me by other drs but I have "beaten" my dx and am not only surviving 7 years later but am thriving. Waited two and a half hours and he failed to even listen to my breathing relying on report of a fellow who I never saw before and would never let examine me again. Very disappointed that Shands would permit such shabby treatment.

We first met Dr Jantz when my mother was hospitalized after at Shands. He has taken wonderful care of my mom the last couple of years. We drive 2 1/2 hours to see him several times a year!

This doctor diagnosed me with a specifically named cancer after reviewing 2 CT scans and no PET scan or biopsy. My oncologist told me there "is zero reaction to the radiactive sugar in my PET scan. No cancer." Specifically diagnosing cancer on the basis of 2 CT scans is below the standard of care.

Dr. Jantz is a wonderful, caring physician who works with awesome medical personnel on the bronch unit at Shands! I have never had difficulty scheduling appointments in almost 8 years of being his patient! I wouldn't go to any other physician or health care facility!!!
