Dr. Jessen showed up for complex heart surgery having done no pre-op planning for a bloodless procedure we had carefully discussed earlier. His anesthesiologist was as unprepared as he was. He said the operation had a high mortality rate - completely counter to what he had told me earlier, but would proceed anyway if I chose to??? I declined to die that day. He fled in a hurry, leaving me lying there with a shaved chest, and a line in my arm, and has never contacted me 5 weeks later. Clements hospital has refused to return calls as well. Clements hospital where he practices as well as Dr. Jessen himself are a dysfunctional, hazard to avoid if you want to stay alive. You are an insured piece of meat that will be reduced to hamburger with impunity. Protect your dignity, and stay away from Dr. Michael Jessen.

The doctor performed a difficult extraction of a fractured ICD lead that had been in place for 7 years. His pre-op manner was excellent and his skills were extraordinary.
