Summary
Michael Jorgenson, DDS
My responsibility as a dentist is to offer quality comprehensive care tailored to each individual patient so as to provide them with optimal oral health, function, and aesthetics. To accomplish this, I continually maintain and expand my knowledge and clinical skills through involvement in study clubs and continuing education opportunities, enabling me to offer the finest in up-to-date techniques and technology. Above all, I strive to deliver care in a thoughtful and personalized manner, while helping patients become educated and involved in the process of improving and maintaining their oral health.
Education
I obtained my DDS degree from the University of Washington School of Dentistry, having completed a Bachelor of Science in Molecular and Cellular Biology (magna cum laude) from the University of Washington.
Continuing Education
As part of my continuing professional education, I have attended leading dental educational facilities throughout the country, …including the Nobel Biocare Implant Training Institute in Yorba Linda, Califonia, where I received advanced training in implant treatment planning, surgical placement of implants, implant restoration and bone grafting.
At the Dawson Academy in St. Petersburg, Florida, my advanced training focused on dental occlusion, the temporomandibular joints and comprehensive aesthetic restorative dentistry. Additional training has involved the fields of endodontics (root canals), prosthodontics (the replacement of multiple missing teeth), and the advanced comprehensive treatment planning of complex dental problems.
In addition, I regularly participate in meetings of the Seattle Study Club and other dental seminars.
Professional Affiliations:
American Dental Association
Washington State Dental Association
King County Dental Society
Seattle Study Club
In the Practice
I find dentistry extremely satisfying: collecting and reviewing clinical data, identifying problems and evaluating potential solutions, discussing options and preferences with the patient, and ultimately developing a comprehensive plan to establish and maintain oral health. However, as much as the challenges of dentistry are rewarding to me, it is the relationships I have with my patients that gives me the most gratification. I truly enjoy getting to know them as individuals, and feel fortunate to have the opportunity to care for them.
It is incredibly satisfying to see the reaction when our efforts have clearly made a difference in their lives. Whether we have improved a patient's oral health, comfort, function or aesthetics, or just exceeded their expectations in delivering on our commitment to providing excellent oral health care, the personal involvement in improving a patient’s quality of life is what makes the practice so rewarding.
Family and Community
I am originally from Bellingham, and have lived in Seattle since 1997. My family includes my wife, Cristina, our young daughter, Maya, and our dog, Bailey. I like to spend my leisure time with my family, cooking and baking, mountain biking, and reading.
As an active member of our community, I volunteer regularly for the Donated Dental Services Program, and have been recognized by the program as one of the top volunteers for the state of Washington. I also provide charitable dental services for the Northwest Kidney Center Volunteer Dentist Program.

Reviews on Vitals are submitted by users only. Recognizing the valuable insights these reviews offer into a doctor's reputation, we maintain internal policies and protocols to ensure the quality and accuracy of all reviews. Importantly, providers cannot delete or alter reviews independently. Reviews can only be deleted or changed following an internal assessment by our customer service team.
