Dr. Michael Porter Kappelman, MD

I am a nurse and have very high standards for my physicians. I respect Dr Kappelman and recommend him to all my friends...at least the kind who are interested in taking responsibility for their health and don't look for someone who pushes pills. He refers appropriately and follows through with phone calls. 4 stars.

Knowledgable and thorough but with a nearly disfunctional personality. Combative and dismissive, he has a level of either egotism or insecurity that drives him to be straightforwardly rude or belittling toward patients. Very unfortunate personality, thoroughly unpleasant to interact with.

Dr. Kappelman is a kind and focused doctor. He listens carefully and responds directly and with compassion. All of my experiences with him over almost a decade have been warm and informative. Most importantly, I always leave the office feeling better. I attribute this to his outstanding bedside manner. He is not only a doctor, but a healer.
