Dr. Michael Thomas Kissel, MD

Well I was going to Dr Kissel for an over 3 years and then we had a disagreement about something and then he told me he would not be able to see me as a patient any longer. He has no patient loyalty.

I went to Dr. Kissel for post operative nerve pain in my leg. Small office with very pleasant employees. Dr. Kissel prescribed some medication after listening to my problem. Meds. worked great and I was feeling better in a few days. Pain gone in two weeks. Feel great! I highly recommend Dr. Kissel for a pain problem consult.

Dr Kissel, has always been an excellent Dr. As far as my wife an I are concerned!!! I have been seeing him for just over 10 years. An while helping me keep my pain under control, he also kept me from getting hooked on opioids. During my 8 years of off an on fighting of cancer. Dr Kissel kept the pain managed with opioids of course. But once I had my zen cell transplant an was cancer free for 2-3 years. He started the weaning off process!, rather than just keep feeding me pills he an I decided it was about time to make the change. An from that visit on he has slowly got me from a powerful opioid to a very low pain medication,.. an I am telling you this because you have got some Dr’s who are in it for the money an then you have some Dr’s. That just go with what ever makes the patient happy. Dr. Kissel is more of a diamond in the rough. Is one Way to put it. I’m really glad that I found a Dr. Like Dr, Kissel!!! John Harden

Met Dr. Kissel at Eastside Hospital when I was a patient and received an epidural shot for back pain. When my surgeon recommended I see a Pain Management Doctor he sent a referral to Dr. Kissel. I called and made an appointment and was very clear it was with Dr. Kissel and had them sent me new patient forms. Several days later two hours before my appointment, I had to call again because I never received the forms. Spoke to the same lady and she emailed me the forms. When I arrived for my appointment I was told Dr. Kissel was not taking new patients and I would be seeing someone else. I asked why I was not told that and all I got was a sorry. If you look online it still has a notation, seeing new patients. I told the lady no thank you and I left with forms in hand. Non professional customer service.

Dr.Kissel is an excellent physician. He listens to his patients concerns and treat accordingly.

Dr. Kissell has been my pain doctor for years after a pretty unsuccessful spinal surgery. My pain got worse, and when I told him about it and described in detail, he had suggestions other than more surgery. He is an amazing doctor – sympathetic yet professional, knowledgeable and yet understanding. I highly recommend him to anyone in pain.

Dr. Kissel is a great Dr. He really care for patients pain and show you personal intest in his patients. I'm very happy to have him as my dr. He never gave up on due to meds didn't calm my pain, he keep trying until he found the right med and dose that can help me with my pain. Due total of 8 surgery in my cervical and lumbar spine.

Pain management is a hard job. But Dr. Kessel takes time and proscribes the best protocol.

I really like Dr. Kissel. Despite my age of only 25 he took the time to hear me out and understand my pain. He always took the time to answer all of my concerns and questions. Great nurses too!
