WORTH THE LONG TIME IN THE WAITING ROOM. THIS IS A DOCTOR WHO LISTENS AND HEARS WHAT YOU ARE SAYING. HE GIVES HIS UNDIVIDED ATTENTION TO EVERY PATIENT. I'VE BEEN HIS PATIENT SINCE THE BEGINNING OF HIS PRACTICE AND WILL BE HIS PATIENT UNTIL HE RETIRES OR I BITE THE DUST!

I would concur with the preceding review. Dr. Koegel amazes me with the breadth of his up-to-date knowledge, also some homeopathic approachs. He is very thorough in his exams and takes time to listen and answer patients' questions. My only complaints are the wait times for getting an appointment and the wait in his office. I would also like to see his staff do a better job of washing hands/changing gloves.

I have been a patient of Doctor Koegel for 20+ years. He is an excellent diagnostician and he treats his patients like old friends. He is very patient, even with "difficult" patients. His calm and professional demeanor has relaxed many an anxious patient. He does not over prescribe medications or prescribe medications that have not been thoroughly tested; and does not prescribe tests that he feels are not necessary, unless a patient insists on the test. He is very thorough in his examinations and he actually takes the time to speak with the patient and ask them questions before going into the examination, something that is rare with Doctors today. I have Doctors in my family and it is my opinion as a patient that Doctor Koegel is one of the best Internists in New York City.
