Meet Michael T. Kolodychak, MPH, DMD
Michael T. Kolodychak, MPH, DMD has been excited to be in the practice of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery in Erie, Pennsylvania since returning to this area in 2000. His extensive education began in Charleroi, a small steel mill town in the mid-Mon-Valley, 30 miles south of Pittsburgh. After high school, he graduated from Gannon University, where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in chemistry.
He received an outstanding senior award upon graduation for academic achievement and dedication to the University through his involvement in numerous extracurricular scholastic and community organizations.
In an effort to gain a broader knowledge of health care systems in the United States, he then attended the University of Pittsburgh, Graduate School of Public Health where he earned a Master of Public Health degree with specialty emphasis in Public and Community Health Services. Dr. Kolodychak completed his education in Pittsburgh where he …earned his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from the University of Pittsburgh, School of Dental Medicine. Prior to graduation, he was recognized by the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons as the dental student who demonstrated outstanding achievement and performance in undergraduate Oral and Maxillofacial Surgical training. He also was recognized by the American Academy of Dental Practice Administration and Organization of Teachers of Dental Practice Administration for Excellence in Dental Practice Administration. He earned his certification in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery through completion of his residency at St. Francis Medical Center, also in Pittsburgh. Dr. Kolodychak is Board-Certified in his specialty and enjoys subspecialty interests in dental implants, cosmetic facial procedures, and facial trauma. Most importantly, through his interest in anesthesia, he enjoys helping anxious patients to have a comfortable, and even enjoyable surgical experience. Dr. Kolodychak has hospital appointments at St. Vincent Health Center and St. Vincent Surgery Center, along with Niagara Village SurgiCenter. Dr. Kolodychak resides in Erie with his wife, Rebecca, and their three children, Kayla, Alexander, and Andrew.
