As far as the actual treatment, it was professional. However, their business practices are predatory. I was recommended to them by my Dentist Office of many years, so I assumed they would be as forthright & reputable. They said they would coordinate with my insurance plan and then showed me a cost estimate based on that. Five weeks after the procedure I contacted my Insurance company about the status of my reimbursed and found out that Tar Heel Periodontics had never contacted them prior to the procedure. The figures Tar Heel Periodontics quoted were totally inaccurate and the procedure was done in a manner that cut what little reimbursement there was, in half. Further, I was told that if I had used an in network provider instead, my cost would have been around $500 out of pocket instead of the $3000 I now am paying on. If that wasn't enough, when I asked about my reimbruse check, I found that Tar Heel Periodontics had claimed it as well, stating they had my signature on record,… even though they had already been paid in full as they collect their money up front. Once advised, I called them on 4 occasions and was never put through to the business office, nor would they return my calls as promised. Finally, I called my Dentist's office, & the insurance company to contact Tar Heel Periodontics about endorsing over my reimbursement check which they had been sitting on for 6 weeks. They instead chose to void the check, which lengthened the process until another check could be issued. I would never ever use this practice again.

I had 2 implants done - was so easy. Great job and highly recommend.
