Dr. Michael E. Kubinski received his undergraduate degree from The University of Michigan in 1974. He completed one year of masters research at The School of Public Health at The University of Michigan before starting dental school at The University of Detroit School of Dentistry and graduating as a Doctor of Dental Surgery in 1979. Dr. Kubinski started practicing dentistry in Oxford in 1981.
Dr. Kubinski is a member of the American Dental Association, Michigan Dental Association, Oakland County District Dental Society and the Russell W. Bunting Periodontal Society.
He was on staff at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital in Pontiac, Michigan and was the team dentist for the Detroit Vipers of the International Hockey League. He also served for 4 years on the Oxford Area Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors and is currently a member of the Oxford Bank Board of Directors.
Dr. Kubinski has enjoyed the many changes in dentistry over the years. In particular the switch from amalgam …(silver-mercury) fillings to resin based fillings and from gold to porcelain crowns and bridges. Implants have gone from risky to state-of-the-art tooth replacements and smile makeovers have become a very exciting and rewarding part of the service we provide to our patients.
In his spare time Dr. Kubinski enjoys hunting, fly fishing, scuba diving, traveling with his family and an occasional round (or two!) of golf. Dr. Kubinski and his wife Pat have been blessed with two children, Claire 18 and Joe 15. Together they are their children’s greatest fans.
