Dr. Michael Ross Laffer, DO

If I could do 0 stars I would. I only choose this dr because I was told he accepted my insurance. Well 2 months after my SECOND appointment and received my cpap for trial, they decide to send me a bill in the mail that said insurance didn’t cover my appointments. So now I’m stuck paying the appointments and for a CPAP out of pocket because I can’t have my 90 follow up due to the cost. The office staff was not friendly or willing to try to help in any way.

Dr. Laffer has been my pulmonologist for several years monitoring my emphysema. He was treating me for an emphysema exacerbation for 3 weeks. I couldn’t walk to the next room without complete exhaustion! With stronger inhalers I wasn’t improving. My last visit was a video chat & he yelled at me for not using a stronger inhaler. I did, with no results. Finally went to ER because I simply couldn’t function like this. They immediately diagnosed me with congestive heart failure…NOT related to my lungs! Spent 5 days in hospital. Heart failure was caused by my A-Fib. Drs. @ hospital said Laffer should have caught this! Definitely DO NOT recommend this Dr.

I came to Laffer as a sleep doctor. After waiting 45 minutes or so, he zipped in, listened to my heart, and claimed I was a mental zombie. He then prescribed a CPAP so that I'd lose weight and fight disease, and zipped out. The staff then did the work to set me up for the CPAP, but there was a snafu. I notice that he's not board certified for this, and wonder where he's running.

I came to Dr Laffer on a referral from my PCP, I had a mass in my right Lung within less than 45 days we had a diagnosis, his office got me in for all of my test swiftly and the entire staff is so welcoming. He explained my condition to me which turned out to be Lung Cancer but it’s not an aggressive type so I’m still under his care. Love my Lung care people. That’s what I call them, when I call with a question like I’m coughing and my inhalers aren’t helping I’m given an appointment within that week, it’s not a 2-3 week wait.

Dr. Laffer is courteous, focused, caring and gets down to business. My appointment was on my way to work and I was in and out in fifteen minutes. All my questions were answered clearly, and thoroughly. His office locations are easy to find. I would recommend this doctor to others.
