Someone who completely ignores the medical consensus about something in his field, including everything coming from World Health Organisation, should not practice medicine.

His Twitter (MLaidlawMD) is full of conspiracy theories about trans people. If you're looking to get on HRT find another endo.

Title says it all. Trans people in search of an endo, go elsewhere.

Been with him for a couple of years. He keeps good notes on current and previous visits, and I feel like he listened to my concerns and gave valuable recommendations on treatments. I recommend him.

Dr. Laidlaw if you can call him a doctor has a personality disorder. Do not waste your time or money with this man. He has issues! Awful experience and he couldn't even help me with Hashimoto's and he claims to be an Endocrinologist. He gives off a super weird vibe. Stay away!

I have had only one visit so far. First impression was good. Greeted by up beat office staff. Dr Laidlaw was nice enough and seemingly thorough. He isn't very personable yet. Maybe he's always like this but hoping for a little more. Like a great Dr/ patient relationship. What matters is my care. Not his personality. We will see.

i went to this dope after a decade of going to endos who want to just test t3 t4 and tsh.. and if you are within a range created in 1929 and still used today you must be fine. i told him i needed individulized treatment and that i have hashimotos and it is ruining my life. the first visit i was impressed. he seemed to actually care and i thought i was finally going to get help. he told me to go to a lab for blood work and when i got to the lab his "office staff" ie receptionist didnt even send a fax. i live an hr drive from this dr. my lab is near my house. i called about the fax and she insisted she sent it. long story short i had to travel back to his office to get a lab order handed to me... when theres a fax machine sitting two feet away from his clueless receptionist. each visit i had a co pay of 40 bucks and i am disabled. he finally got the bloodwork done and made an adjustment that made me suffer even worse. i waited and suffered another couple months and asked to get my… levels checked again. again i was told the receptionist would send a fax. i made sure i waited on the line while she faxed my order. i heard the fax machine working... but when i got to the lab my order wasnt there. AGAIN i drove all the way back to his rocklin office and aaked the receptionist what the problem was.. cant she even send a fax? she then told me she doesnt send faxes i need to pick up the order in office. we bickered a bit as i am in desperation mode for help. then laidlaw came out and said the same thing. he wouldnt see me becausei was quesrioning the ability of his receptionist to simply send a fax. he milked me for a few hundred bucks and blew me off. if you really want help this is the wrong doctor. hes a fraudulent useless dude in a white coat. dont do it.

I've been seeing Dr. Laidlaw for almost a year, whilst he tried to diagnose my problem. Finally, after my spouse suggested he test for Hashimoto's, my medical issue was discovered. This disease is problematic from a dosage standpoint, and we were trying to find out what mine should be. My 2nd blood test was to occur after 6 weeks of treatment, except we were going on vacation - I spoke with his Staff and she didn't like my bothering her prior to the 6 week window (I was two days early), Dr. Laidlaw agreed that I should wait for 8 weeks. I did, and then got my blood test afterwards. When I called to make an appointment after the test, the same person told me I could not have an appointment for another 18 weeks (she forgot the agreement) and when I told her this was unacceptable, she then told me to find another service provider because I was too much trouble for her. Dr. Laidlaw sided with his staff member and told me that his staff member was more important than his patient(s), and… he would no longer treat me. anymore, but he would continue my prescription. He doesn't yet know if my dosage is correct or even if my prescription needs to be altered, thus I am in the middle of being treated and he won't see me again. It appears that keeping his staff happy is more important than making sure his patients are get the best treatment.

My husband had multiple symptoms leading to conflicting or simplistic diagnoses from several doctors. When he saw Dr. Laidlaw, he found a doctor who listened, asked intelligent questions, performed a whole series of tests to try to help him solve his medical problem(s). When the first diagnosis was found to be an incomplete solution, the dr. asked more questions and when he found there was a family history of a specific problem (Hashimoto's in this case), Dr. Laidlaw had further tests done and found the solution we'd been looking for through 5 other doctors. Not only was this a huge relief, it was proof that we had found a doctor to keep. If you want a doctor who collaborates with you and doesn't act like god, this is your person.
