Meet Dr. Lakota
A Chicago area native and graduate of the University of Illinois, School of Dentistry, Dr. Mike Lakota has a reputation for staying on the forefront of his field. He has taken a comprehensive series of postgraduate courses from the prestigious Las Vegas Institute for Advanced Dental Studies, the world-renowned postgraduate teaching facility for dentists who strive toward higher education and thinking. Dr. Lakota has completed over 400 hours of continuing education. His professional memberships include the International Academy of Comprehensive Aesthetics (IACA), American Dental Academy (ADA), Chicago Dental Society (CDS), Illinois State Dental Society (ISDS), Academy of General Dentistry (AGD), and the Naples District 203 Health Advisory Board.
Dr. Lakota has focused his education on advances in cosmetic dentistry, restorative dentistry, and bonded dentistry. He has also expanded his expertise in Neuromuscular Dentistry, TMJ therapy, and Sleep Apnea. Dr. Lakota has …published numerous articles and has been chosen as Naperville's "Expert Dentist" for the upscale Glancer magazine, where he answers questions from people in the Chicagoland area. This has allowed Dr. Lakota to lecture and advise other dentists in various aspects of their practices.
Away from his office, Dr. Lakota spends his free time with his wife and their three boys, Joshua, Matthew, and Alex. He enjoys coaching, baseball, bowling, bike riding, and any quiz shows. His most admirable athlete is Henry Louis Gehrig.
