Dr. Michael Scott Langan, MD

I have complicated health issues and Dr. Langan is never deterred. He works with his patients to maximize their health and life. I have never had a better doctor in my life whether we are figuring out the best way to manage my chronic bronchitis, or finding ways to help me manage arthritis or dealing with a life threatening illness; he is always caring, knowledgeable and dedicated. I am fortunate to have Dr. Michael Langen as my physician, because I know I'm getting the best care and advice for managing my health.

I have had Dr. Langan as my internist for approximately 7 years now. He literally saved my life early in our relationship because he believed what I was telling him. He will take my calls day or night. I email him regularly to avoid office visits. He ALWAYS goes the extra mile. He is no longer accepting new patients but when I needed a new physician for my husband, he agreed to take him on. My health is terrible but my husband's is good. Dr. Langan keeps an eye on what other doctors are doing and keeps track of my various specialists. He handles almost all of my meds and I never have a problem with refills. He may not always be prompt but I figure it is because he is giving another patient the same kind of extra time he gives me. I am never booked for a short appointment but I still end up going over the insurance companies time limits. He cares more about his patients than the rest of the garbage. He is still in charge of the Resident Clinic and if I absolutely need to be… seen and it is on or close to Thursday (Clinic Day), he will schedule me with a Resident and then come in himself to make sure my complicated health problems are being addressed correctly. Since he oversees the Resident Clinic he is always there when I need him to stop in on those days. Honestly, he prefers to see me without Residents because I am so high maintenance. I can't say enough good things about him.

A fantastic doctor! When other individuals in the medical field push you through in 5 minutes or less, Dr. Langan is always willing to spend as much time as you need. My last appointment, he spent over 35 minutes with me. Needless to say - I did not feel rushed. I am very pleased to have Dr. Langan as my doctor. He is incredibly knowledgeable and helpful and is really concerned about his patients. Highly recommended!

Langan is a great doctor. Personally called me to follow up rather than leaving it to a nurse. Only problem is that since he works at OSU's resident clinic, there is a tremendous wait everytime. He also has so many patients that too get an appt with him instead of a resident means at least a month wait.
