I have been a patient of Dr. Latteier for several years, and I am truly grateful to have him as my orthopedic doctor. He is exceptionally knowledgeable, professional, caring, and patient. He always takes the time to listen to my concerns, thoroughly explains my treatment options, and provides outstanding care. I feel very fortunate to be under his care and highly recommend Dr. Latteier to anyone seeking an excellent orthopedic surgeon.

Dr. Latteier did my knee replacement surgery. His knowledge, in depth explanation of my condition and diagnosis was excellent. It helps when you are facing a surgery of this magnitude and your first is to have a doctor with a good bedside manner. He helped me see the replacement procedure and helped me relax and realize it’s time to move forward when no other procedure would give me relief from everyday pain and discomfort. Dr. Latteier is a good one in the Kansas City area.

Highly Skilled, Compassionate Surgeon I had my first hip replaced by Dr. Latteier in April 2022 and the second in October 2024. I could write pages about how wonderful both experiences were, but will leave a brief version here! Dr. Latteier is an exceptionally skilled surgeon, Board certified and with advanced training in the anterior approach to total hip replacement. He has extensive experience, and only works on hips and knees, helping him to hone his skills to the highest level. The anterior approach is through the front of the hip and it left tidy, 6' scars. The recovery time and pain level is generally much less with this approach, compared to the traditional posterior approach, and that was exactly my experience. Dr. Latteier was never rushed and took the time to answer every question my husband and I had. He treated us with the utmost respect and kindness. Despite an extremely busy practice, when you are with Dr. Latteier you feel like you are the only patient he has. Both… hips function perfectly!

This was My 1st visit and everything went very well, he very easy to communicate with me about my problem and the procedure that would be best for me now and made me very comfortable

Dr. Latteier did an awesome job. I had a full hip replacement, anterior approach. Woke up in recovery felling better and never looked back. I wished I had he surgery sooner. I had to have a second knee replacement on the same knee after the first doctor in 2017 did a poor job. I immediately felt worse after the first procedure and it never felt better. My insurance carrier recommended 4 doctors and after doing some checking on my own I decided Dr. Michael Latteier would be my best hope. This was one of the best decisions I ever made. He is an excellent physician, explains the procedure well and is very thorough. He believes in continuous follow-up until he feels all is well. Thank you Dr. Latteier MD!!

Dr. Latteier has been a godsend for me! He performed a total knee replacement for my right knee & I received excellent care from pre to post surgery. I couldn't be more pleased with the results & will return to him when it's time for surgery on my left knee.
