Dr. Michael Joseph Leach, DDS

I personally saw Dr. Leach from 8-19yrs old. I now have my own family and bring my children to see him as well since I know first hand the experience they will have. Dr. Leach and his staff are absolutely amazing. They will make your kid feel so comfortable that they don’t want to leave!

Scheduling an appointment that works with our schedule is VERY difficult. The office staff will not let you schedule 2 morning appointments in a row, since we have to be considerate of other patients. I am their customer, so they should be considerate of my schedule. Also, they are closed on most school holidays. Dr. Leach is a good dentist, but I think they have too many patients to provide good customer service. My children have been seeing Dr. Leach since they were 2. Now, they are 13 and 16. I am changing dentists, since I cannot get an appointment to work with my schedule. I told the office staff that I am changing dentists, and they just said okay.

Dr Leach is thorough and does great work. Having known him for almost 20 years, and observing his practice, I am confident that his diagnosis is conservative and in the patient's best interest. Although logistics may prevent same day care (I.e other patients may also be scheduled on the same day, one may come in with pain and another may need sutures due to a bicycle accident which just happened), the doctor may often need to reschedule to best accommodate everyone's needs. He is an excellent dentist and a wonderful man!

After being with this practice for over 15 years, my son scheduled an appointment to get his filling fixed, explaining that he is in serious pain, his filling needs to be fixed and he is driving in from Athens. At an appointment 2 weeks earlier Dr. Leach had said that this filling may need work. He gets there and Dr. Leach gives him a prescription for sensitive toothpaste and tells him this is a diagnosis appointment, he'll need a second appointment to get it fixed. Yes, that's right, drive back and forth to UGA again and let me charge you again. Needless to say, our adult dentist was able to fix it on the first visit even though he'd never seen him before. We'll never go to Dr. Leach again.
