Dr. Michael Jack Levy

My experience with Dr. Levy was exceptional. He calmly and politely entered the room where I was prepped for two upper endoscopic procedures that he was to perform. He introduced himself, we had a friendly chat, he briefly explained both procedures and then asked if I had any questions. I found Dr. Levy to be polite and personable. I noticed the negative reviews online, but in all sincerity I experienced a doctor with a polished bedside manner. I had absolutely no concerns in this regard and felt comfortable and relaxed after I met him. Having said all this, to me the more important point is, how qualified and competent is the doctor who will be performing two invasive procedures with risks. I’m not there to share a drink and make a friend. I’m there for my health, period. In this regard, I was as certain as I could be that Dr. Levy is a very capable, competent doctor who is caring and would do his best for me. He is a doctor at the #1 rated Gastroenterology hospitals in the… country. His Mayo Clinic Bio indicates that endoscopic procedures are his specialty and he has years of experience. And his research publications are mostly in his area of expertise; upper endoscopic procedures. Dr. Levy exudes confidence and it’s both warranted and reassuring. I should also mention that he wrote and posted a complete narrative of the procedure within a few hours. The narrative was technical but stated in layman’s terms such that, with a few Google searches I understood everything stated. He also provided thorough written instructions on how I was to care for myself after the procedure. Additionally, I had no complications and felt little discomfort afterwards. I highly recommend Doctor Levy.

Worst doc ever! How can this man be on staff at Mayo.

Arrogant doctor and yet did not do anything for my husband

Wish I would have believed these reviews before loading my family into the vehicle at 2:45 a.m. and heading for Mayo. Was sent home without having a procedure done thanks to no one knowing what was going on and the Doc's unwillingness to perform the procedure as written on his orders.

Coming to Mayo was a big mistake. They do not have the high standards they tout.

This doctor is rude and gruff. I wouldn't let him touch my dog.

Dr Levy is to the point no wasting time. Bright professional.? & exudes confidence. Prepared for the procedures which no Dr in Dallas could perform. Concluded the procedures in less than one hour and eliminated major surgery. Forever grateful. .
