Dr. Michael Yang Li, MD

THE COLONOSCOPY FARM I first met Dr. Li when I was a student, and I experienced my first bout of gastroenteritis after eating something wrong. When I came in to see Dr. Li, his first reaction was to order a colonoscopy. I was with my Mom, and she thought it was a good idea. The doctor said she should ask get one "just to make sure" she didn't have any colon cancer. Off we went to empty our bowels. Results negative. Strangely I was never told what the cause was, given any medication, etc. Two years later, I had the same problem, also after eating something wrong (this was before doctor reviews were widely used, but also I was a kid and trusted doctors). Again, Dr. Li ordered a colonoscopy almost instantly, indicating that there still may be a small chance of colon cancer. And so, the naive child that I was (shame on me), I had my second colonoscopy in 2 years. Negative of course. This was years ago, and I have since matured into an adult and grown skeptical of "doctors" like Dr. Li… who hide behind surgical masks and get paid by insurance to order colonoscopies. Dr. Li will use fear to squeeze money out of you (and your insurance) and without any care for solving actual issues. Although a while back, the feeling of the camera tube being slid up my anus still haunts me (the anesthesiologist did not wait until I was asleep to start the procedure). I've actually been suffering from nightmares and flashbacks over the years. I hope this review helps anyone even considering to visit this clinic, and in general to be wary of colon "screenings" for your children who have no family history of colon cancer. Sometimes it's just diarrhea. Absolutely terrible doctor. I only saw the nurse until I requested to see the doctor. At which point, he came in extremely impatient. He told me everything was normal. When I asked why I'm still having symptoms, he told he "he didn't know", everything looks good from the test results. And at that point, he just stopped talking. At this point I asked him to give me some advice on how to better manage my symptoms, he goes "I recommend you start exercising more". Now, I'm a 28 year old marathon runner, in tip top shape, so I just laughed and left. Because I'm in a gap period without insurance, I paid cash, so I was extremely dissapointed that after paying him in excess of $500 for tests and medical visits, he basically told me "he didn't know" what was wrong with me. If you want some shady medical operation this is it. if you want a doctor who cares, go elsewhere.

He is a nice doctor, listened and explained to me my problem. Staffs in the office are very nice and patient. Medical assistants very caring. Nothing to eat after stomach check up.
