Truly the best of the best! Dr. Link explained my husband’s condition with great detail in a way that we could understand and gave us hope. We were beyond confident in his ability and traveled from Philadelphia for surgery. He accurately projected realistic post-operative expectations -- all of which were right on the mark -- performed a highly complex procedure flawlessly, and followed up routinely to check on progress. The level of care for his patients is absolutely unmatched! Grateful to have had him as a surgeon!

Had a transphenoidal (thru the nose) surgery at a Hospital in the Milwaukee area for my meningioma. Unfortunately they were unable to remove much of the tumor (maybe 5-10% removal). They then recommended further surgery (craniotomy) or radiation... and later retracted the surgery option leaving me only with a radiation option. Sought a second opinion and met with Dr. Link at the Mayo Clinic who recommended a craniotomy. He was able to remove most of the tumor and the MRI result shows no tumor cells visible. My tumor was in a very difficult location (tuberculum sellae) and he did a fantastic job. Excellent surgeon and is highly regrading among his peers (across the country). My recovery from my craniotomy was easier than my transphenoidal surgery... wish I had done the craniotomy first.

Dr. Link presents as very professional. He is serious (because it is serious business he is sharing with you,) but he has a wry sense of humor. He sincerely cared for me and my family,fortunately he could bring good news. He remembers details about you and your situation, so it is obvious that he is taking care of you and not just your disease. Ii have certainly shared with my peers that if anyone needs neurosurgery, Mayo Clinic is the place in the Midwest, to go.

Dr. Link is no doubt one of the best neurosurgeons there is. He operated on a tumor that no other doctor could handle. The results were far better than expected.
