Dr. Michael Brian-Anderson Macintire, MD

I discovered Dr. Macintire when I could not get an appointment with my primary care physician and needed a prescription refilled, hence was scheduled to see him based on availability within the Fairview Health Care network. I am a diabetic, plus I have several other medical issues at play that impact one another...essentially a "domino effect" where one issue leads to another so all are interrelated. I expected my visit with Dr. Macintire to last around 30 minutes at most. On the contrary, what actually happened during that visit has never happened before in my life. Dr. Macintire spent over two hours with me going over every one of my medical issues, explaining the causes, likely consequences of not addressing them, how they relate to each other, and how to resolve or "fix" each medical issue. It was just as if I was a member of his family who he really cared about. The depth and breadth of our discussion gave me a complete understanding of my entire medical situation and how to… address each issue. He followed up with several similar visits and I am finally on my way to excellent health. I have since switched my primary care physician to Dr. Macintire and am confident I am in good hands. Dr. Macintire is truly an exceptional doctor. He genuinely cares about his patients and spends whatever time is necessary to solve your medical problems and get you on the right track to recovery. There's probably around 1 out of 500 doctors, at best, who have the commitment to their patients that Dr. Macintire has. He deserves 6 stars out of 5 in my opinion.
