MICHAEL J. MAGINNIS, D.D.S., M.S., F.A.C.P
Dr. Michael J. Maginnis, a private practitioner from Baton Rouge, Louisiana, specializing in Removable Prosthodontics is a 1971 graduate of Loyola University School of Dentistry in New Orleans and a 1973 graduate of the Prosthodontics program of the University of North Carolina School of Dentistry at Chapel Hill.
Dr. Maginnis is a Diplomate to the American Board of Prosthodontics and a Fellow in the American College of Prosthodontists.  He is  a member of the Southeastern Academy of Prosthodontics, the American Dental Association and its component societies and is past president, board member and program chairman for both the East Baton Rouge Parish Dental  Association and the Greater Baton Rouge Dental Association.  He is currently serving as President of the board of directors of Louisiana Dental Services, the for-profit subsidiary of the Louisiana Dental Association.
As a removable prosthodontist, he is an active member of the East Baton …Rouge Parish Cleft Palate Team and a consultant to the Louisiana State University Graduate Speech Department. He is a member of Omicron Kappa Upsilon and the Pierre Fauchard Academy.
As a protégé of Dr. Earl Pound, he has appeared before a number of national and international dental meetings to lecture on the Branching Technique for construction of complete dentures.
Publications include chapters on “Soft Liners”, in DENTAL LABORATORY PROCEDURES – COMPLETE DENTURES, Volumes 1, C.V. Mosby, Co. 1st and 2nd Editions, 1980 and 1986.
