Dr Michael A. Magnotti, MD

Dr. Magnotti is pleasant and knowledge. I see him for my Diabetes. Unfortunately, his Clifton staff is awful. Staff never sends prescriptions properly, if at all. I get no call backs from voicemails left about scheduling visits or needing refills. Pharmacy gets no call backs from the office and doctor never gets any messages. Staff often cancels my appointments after months of waiting.

I've been doing a research to finally find a doctor who will help me with my Hashimoto's disease. I chose to see Dr. Magnotti and called the office. Nobody picked up the phone, left a message and nobody called me back. Im not from NJ, i would just drive there and make an appointment for a doctor who i thought the best for me. Very disappointed with the stuff. The rating if for the stuff not for a Dr. Magnotti.

The doctor is OK but he has terrible office staff. I had an incident that my prescription went to the wrong pharmacy and trying to explain that to the staff they kept transferring me from one to the other. When I asked to speak to the office manager, they said they don't have her number !! TERRIBLE OFFICE STAFF EVER

I've had a disappointing experience with the front desk of this office. I ignored it the first time but when it happened again I begin to think there is a problem that is either not being address or an unwritten/unspoken policy. The physicians here are excellent and I am saddened by the fact that the service provided by staff is not what it could be. (Letter to office with details to follow)

This has to be the worse dr experience I have ever had. I am currently pregnant and my blood work showed that my thyroid levels were very high. I went to see Dr Magnotti on a Friday. I had my blood work done that same day and received my results by Monday. I took me calling the office 10 times and 3 days for anyone to get back to me. When I finally spoke with someone this women was very nasty said Dr had reviewed my blood work and spoken to someone named Lisa (no idea who Lisa is). Then this rude employee yelled and threw me on hold. After holding for 10 minutes she gets back on the phone even nastier and says that I hung up (as I held I listened to their annoying hold music). Finally I speak to this Lisa women and she tells what the doctor said. No one bothered to call me and tell me what the doctor said or anything. I will never again step foot in this office. The staff is horrible and the Doctors attitude is even worseâ?¦

First, the doctor had my test results (to determine if my thyroid cancer had returned) a month before my appointment and never looked at them until I was sitting there. Had it come back, wouldn't it have been prudent to do something a month before? Then I get there and it turns out the lab did the wrong test. I had to go get tested again (which is not Dr. Magnotti's fault) but I could have done that long before my appointment and not had to schedule a second one. They never gave me my test results (sat on them for five weeks) and it took several phone calls for me to even get someone to talk to me. They send me a bill, I pay it, and a few weeks ago I get a letter from a collection agency saying I need to pay the bill. Ridiculous. Best part is I call them (get a machine, of course, nobody ever picks up) and leave a message about this and nobody calls me back. Most disorganized practice, most discourteous staff I have ever seen.

Dr. Magnotti is a great doctor but it is very difficult to get an appoinment with him. You usually have to wait two months and if you can't wait then you have to see one of his other partners.

Was highly referred by my general physician. Has never spent more than 5 minutes with me, all the time looking at his laptop, not me. Was diagnosed with Hashimoto's disease and hypothyroidism and prescribed Synthroid. Gained about 30 pounds, bloated stomach, etc. Every time I've brought this up, he says I need to diet and exercise. When I asked if he thought acupuncture might help me, he rolled his eyes. When I asked if he could prescribe Armour (a natural-based drug), he bristled and wasn't overly effusive. Never seems to listen to my concerns, just eager to move on. Presently looking for a new endo who is willing to LISTEN to me and help me find the best treatment that is out there.
