Michael Makary

Dr Makary is very logical. Does not over prescribe medications. proceeds step-by-step. I am a PhD in mechanical engineering and I found he could communicate very accurately. I enjoyed him as a doctor. He listened to me; other doctors have not.

Dr. Makary provides excellent care. I was very disappointed to learn his practice in downtown will be closing soon but I plan on following him wherever he goes.

I have been going to Dr Makary for over 3 years now. He is an extraordinary doctor who always takes time to speak with you, answer questions, and not rush through your appointment—which can’t be said for other doctors in his practice. There have been a few times where I’ve needed to get in to see De. Makary due to sickness or bronchitis, and he is always able to work me in the same day or get me in the next day. If you need an incredible pulmonologist with great bedside manners, I highly recommend Dr Makary!

Excellent physician, takes his time, great bedside manner, great recommendations and full of knowledge. If he doesn’t have an answer he will get an answer. It’s refreshing to see a physician who actually listens and stays in the room for more than 3 minutes. We could imagine how busy he had been but you would’ve never known. Very blessed to see all around such a great physician, Dr. Makary.

Waited forever for our post hospital meeting with Makary. He finally came in our cubicle 11/2 hrs later only to berate my husband who was suffering with numerous PE’s. Ridiculing him for experiencing anxiety bc of having pain and shortness of breath. His cold suggestion was not to addresd meds to lessen anxiety or pain only that my husband “might need to see a psychiatrist” . I highly recommend you fo not subject yourself to this calloused Dr. but instead find one who actually cares and is patient oriented.

Dr. Makary was very curtious. He is very knowledgeable and took the time to explain things in a way I could understand

Excellent care and concern. Dr. Makary listens to your problem and is very compassionate. He is very friendly and always has a smile to greet you. He does not rush through your visit with him. He is extremely knowledgeable. I highly recommend him for pulmonary problems.

Dr. Makary is an excellent Doctor. He is very courteous, friendly, great bedside manner, very thorough, compassionate, and a great sense of humor. I highly recommend him.
