Dr. Michael Joseph Mangan, MD

Had to have emergency gallbladder bladder removal the next day after visiting here. Office acted like I was faking it to miss school and he said I should get an aids test (wasnt even sexually active ever yet at the time). My primary dr ordered imagine and gallbladder was absolutely full of stones to the point of busting.

I feel that Dr Mangan and his staff treated me well both personally and professionally.

He discovered a tumor in my colon when I was sent to him about 6 years ago , it certainly gave me more years on Earth. I see him annually and I think He does a very thorough examination. I am pretty much out of it after the procedure but He always comes to the recovery area and explains everything to my wife and fields questions we may have. If I wanted friendly chat I would go to a party. This Doctor is all business and professional. I would highly recommend him.

Worst doctor ever! Would not recommend him to anyone.

I had to wait 6 weeks to see his nurse practitioner and she scheduled me for an upper GI with him. She also changed my medication which caused severe swelling in my feet where I couldn't wear shoes. During the day of my endoscopy, the nurse wheeled me back to the procedure room where Dr. Mangan berated me for having a reaction to the medication. He then proceeded to ask me questions which had he reviewed my medical records, he would have known. He was rude and condescending even after the procedure when he came to speak to my husband. He changed my medication which has not had any effect. His nurse called the following week to schedule my follow up and I had to ask her for the results of my biopsy. He has diagnosed me with gastritis yet did not address any of my other symptoms and the biopsy did not show a cause for this diagnosis. I'm not happy with him. Yet if you want to change doctors at this clinic you have to make a written request to the office manager. I've asked my primary… care doctor to refer me elsewhere.

Dr. Mangan is the best best doctor I've ever been to in my life. I've seen two other other GI doctors before I went to see Dr Mangan and he's definitely the best. He's spent more time talking to me. I never felt rushed. He took care of my problems.

Getting an appointment took 4 months, and even then it was set for 3 months after that. Once I saw him, he said absolutely nothing. He said to schedule a procedure and walked out. After 3 diagnostic procedures I still have no diagnosis. If the AMA has any credibility they should investigate these so called physicians.

This doctor treated me like I was stupid and had no business being at the digestive disease clinic. He was unconcerned from the moment he stepped in the room. First he questioned that I even had what I claimed. He completely blew me off telling me to just keep taking my current medication more frequently, though I tried expressing my severe pains and problems. When I inquired about other debilitating issues I experience, he told me they were "not that big of a deal." My appointment was a waste of time and money. This man does not care about people, I don't know what he is doing being a doctor. Go somewhere else!
