Dr. Michael Vincent Marquard, DO

In 2013 I presented at the ER in Uniontown with pain in my L leg to the point of not being able to walk well. I was 13 weeks pregnant. Dr Marquard barely looked at me and said it was sciatica. 24 hrs later pain is severe to point of passing out so I return to ER and he is same doctor attending. He again barely evaluated me and tells me it’s sciatica. I protested. My leg was swollen and pink all down it. The other leg normal. I was in so much pain. I hadn’t kept much down due to the pregnancy and pain for days and also felt dehydrated. Dr told me “you don’t look dehydrated.” And dismissed my concerns. I insisted this wasn’t sciatica. He signed and said “I guess we can check for a blood clot.” Like he was humoring me. I said “YES! Do!” Hoping for some actual evaluation. Ultrasound revealed almost total occlusion of a clot in 7 veins between knee and groin. Emergency ambulance transfer to Akron General. No apology. No acknowledgment. Worst doctor. Ever.
