Dr. Michael Joseph Martinelli JR., MD

Dr. Martinelli came into the exam room fully versed on my heart history. He was very congenial, extremely knowledgable and suggested a medication that had not been suggested to me before. He comes very highly recommended by two friends and certainly made me feel very comfortable and, should I need surgery, I would trust his skills completely.

Dr. Martinelli's superior work prevented my husband from requiring open heart surgery. He talked with us about the procedure and made us feel we were in the right hands. He is an outstanding doctor and I would recommend him to anyone.

Dr. Martinelli is outstanding. Always has a positive outlook on things. He has always made me feel comfortable and at ease from the time I met him when I arrive by ambulance from Saratoga Hospital to my annual appointments. He always takes the time for me and I am sure he does for everyone else. He was great to me while I was in St.Peter's Hospital. I have recommended him to several people.

STAY away from this man. My opinion is that he is rude uncaring, and self important. After waiting to see him because I was told he was too busy to see patients( I was an established patient) as he was doing research and only saw patients 3 days a week. When he came in the room he had a TERRIBLE attitude, telling me he did not have time for these types of appointments. He told me there was nothing wrong with me that a good exercise and diet would not fix. I knew there was something VERY wrong and told him so. 3 days later I saw another cardiology group . Tests were scheduled THAT day and next. By the next day I was told I had VERY serious obstructions requiring quick intervention. I had stents placed and may need others. If I had listened to this man I feel that I would NOT be here to write this review. By the way I previously wrote a review (2014), and it is oddly missing. He also falsified the medical records stating he did a full physical and HE DID NOT!!!!! Many of the things… in this supposed physical were VERY VERY inaccurate. This is because he made up the info and never actually did the physical.

Sometime ago I had an appointment with Dr. Martinelli. I have been seeing him for a few years without a problem. I was there for a check up that the Doctor told me to schedule at an appointment over a year prior. When I arrived for what I thought was going to be a simple physical I was told by the Doctor that there was nothing wrong with me and that I shouldn't be there? I never did get that checkup. As you can imagine I was quite perplexed when I left the office.

Very professional Clean neat facility a doctor who gets right to the point and listens to patient concerns.

The doctor saw my mother at St Peters and he was rude, insulting, accusatory, and highly unprofessional. My mother was admitted to the hospital on a Sunday morning and recieved what we thought to be excellent care up until Tuesday morning when he was to fo a procedure. That late morning, after my mother had been prepped for the procedure, the doctor came into the room. He said that all the information provided by the others at the hospital was wrong, that the PA didn't know what he was talking about, that a serious cardiac procedure done by a distant hospital was unnecessary; by the way, all the people who saw my mother at St Peters were on his staff or in his group. He had never seen the patient before and had reviewed his associates records, her cardiologist is in his group. He had no records of the serious emergency procedures done elsewhere but deemed them as unnecessary. Basically the Chief of cardiology said the the cardiology staff at St. Peter's was not to be trusted and… the patient did not have a cardiac issue. "Look elsewhere" NEVER use or trust this doctor.

Only thing that I dislike is that he would not do a physical for me to have cararets removed,

Dr. M. Martinelli shows excellent understanding of his field and patient care.
