Dr. Michael Earl Mason

Amy L in the last week Dr. Mason proceeded with root canal on a tooth which had all negative results on his testing. He charged an exorbitant amount of money for use of nitrous oxide. Dr. insisted on use of an "oral dam" in spite of my pleading not to use it. As a result, I experienced 6 months of lock jaw. I incurred great cost, time and travel in treatment by a chiropractor specializing in lock jaw treatment. His shoddy work in placing temporary filling, in conjunction with my inability to obtain further treatment for months, lead to loss of the tooth. I suffered much pain, loss of work, and great 'out of pocket' expense to end up losing the tooth unnecessarily. I would not recommend this doctor to anyone.

I went to Dr. Mason's office to have a second opinion - primary dentist stated I would have to have a tooth extracted. Dr. Mason checked me out and "believed" he could possibly save the tooth. He impressed me so I decided to come back and further explore the possibility of saving my tooth. Please understand that I WAS TOLD in advance that I would have to pay out-of-pocket if he couldn't save the tooth. After coming back, and being soooo incredibly nervous about a root canal (also being my first root canal in 60 years!), Dr. Mason was incredible...confident, caring, explaining, and gentle. Did I mention I was super nervous. I had heard such stories about root canals and pain. Did I mention how unbelievably nervous I was? He did was he does and here it is 3 days later, not one aspirin, and I still can't believe how EASY and PAINLESS this entire procedure was...all because of Dr. Mason (and his staff) - probably the most painless dentist visit I've had. Still in awe of Dr. Mason and… his abilities. Can't say enough!
