Dr. Michael Farell Massa, MD

Dr Massa is currently as of 2019 working in Idaho Falls in Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center's Behavioral Health Center. I have worked with many many psychiatrists over the years and he is one of the most damaging ones I've ever witnessed. He is refusing to listen to anything anyone has to say about their own experience and understanding of what helps them. The entire unit is spiraling out of control right now and people are being committed involuntarily left and right for voicing concern about their treatment. The other staff see it as well and secretly agree but are too afraid to say anything. He appears to be a narcissist, mild sociopath, and wants to have absolute power and control over people. I see the floods of complaints coming in from dozens of patients that are being held hostage and are loosing control of their ability to heal or stabilize because of his massive power trip. Run away from this Doctor!

Michaelmas is self-medicating and is delusional while he retaliates at his patients that catch onto his drug addiction! He is a danger to the community and society and hat should have his license revoked! I’ve had first-hand experience with this idiot and he needs to be committed into a mental institution or put in jail for crimes against humanity!

I met Dr. Massa at Aurora Behavioral in Santa Rosa back in 2014 when I was 19, he had diagnosed me with Borderline Personality Disorder and ordered a 5250 on me all because I continuously kept cursing because he refused to listen to my answers and pre-determined the reason to my responses that were utterly rude and false. He really did not care what I had to say, was very 'right to the point', blunt(which is not a bad thing) but like I said rude about it. If I were to curse once, he would end the meeting and walked away. I spent unnecessary extra time at Aurora because of that. The diagnosis was accurate and last medication(prescribed by Massa, because I was previously prescribed Prozac and Buspar which failed) Topamax(Topirmate) was very dead on perfect for my BPD and I immediately was able to calm down and control my emotions and reactions normally. He could try to care more about his patients a little more, like be positively interactive with your patients. Otherwise, very accurate.
