He is truly amazing. He's right to the point, a great listener. Perfect bedside manner. I recommend him to anyone needing plastic surgery. If I ever need more plastic surgery, I will definitely be seeking his expertise. He had a great smile also, helps Ppl feel more comfortable.

Very compassionate. He is confident and with good reason. I highly recommend Dr. Matthew. Breast reduction is a hard thing to consider, he will help you, not just make a fast decision.

Dr Mathew uses an open hand surgery to correct carpal tunnel syndrome. Much longer recovery time and less effective results.

My surgery was a failure, I am very dissatisfied..... Never again will go to Dr. Matthew.

I first saw Dr. Matthew after a bad car accident in 2011 left me without use of my right arm due to a brachial plexus injury with damage to my C5/C6 nerves. He was always so optimistic and also so down to earth and always took the time to explain things in detail to both me as well as his students that were in attendance. He performed my 9 hour surgery of nerve transfers/graphs and since I can now flex my bicep and also raise my arm over my head and have forward and side abduction. Although he has now left Yale (which they lost one of the best) I wasn't able to have him see my progress but hope that he is able to change the lives of others as he did mine! Thank you, thank you, thank you a million times over!!

Dr Matthew has a confident yet approachable manner that made me immediately feel comfortable talking with him and confident that he would take great care of me. He put two pins in my broken finger and I have had practically no pain. During our office visit and again in the hospital for surgery, I felt like I was talking with a neighbor who was a doctor. He took all the time I needed to thoroughly answer all of my questions. Great on all levels!

Dr. Matthew is extremely thorough and knows his stuff. Fully explained why surgery was a better choice for my injury (broke bone in my hand) vs. just a cast.Great bedside manner, especially pre/post-op. He made my husband (who has history of many surgeries and procedures) feel at ease about what was going on with me, even though my injury and subsequent surgery was VERY minor compared to his.Attentive at my appointments in the clinic, didn't rush me and answered my questions fully. Wait time was rated as good only because I was there on one very crazy Friday afternoon where I had to wait over an hour to be brought back to an exam room, and then almost an hour to see the doctor. But other appointments had a more "normal" wait. Scheduling was also rated good because there was some back and forth with scheduling my actual surgery, but as for follow ups there was never a problem. His assistant, Mary, is very good about getting someone to call back if there is a problem--I had a slight… problem with my cast and she had the hand fellow return my call. It was returned within the hour--ON A MONDAY MORNING.

The only problem I had was getting a note sent from Dr. Matthew's office to my Dr. for the chemo treatments. Waited 2 weeks and still don't have the note.
