Dr. Michael Allen Mattin, MD

I would not recommend Dr Mattin at all he is very inconsistent with the things he says. He had stated to me in 2012 it was time for me to think about disability None of my diagnosis have changed and nothing has been done to treat them. And I have since had 2 more different diagnosis s And now he is stating I have improved. Nothing has changed with my care. Now I am in search for a new pcp. And right in the middle of a SSDI claim which he recommended. I would never and will never give him a good reference

I have seen Dr. Mattin a couple times. I am 39 and in good health. I usually just need routine checkups. Anyway, 2 years ago I went to him after a vacation accident and he told me I just needed PT or a massage. I was not sent for xray or MRI. 3 months later and still in pain, it turns out I had a separated shoulder. Strike #1. This past visit, I went in complaining of fatigue, hair loss, weight gain and abdominal pain. I had labs done and no one contacted me with the results. I assumed everything was normal. Hair still falling out a month later, I called to see if I had had my thyroid tested in the labs. They seemed shocked I didn't get my lab results. That was strike #2. When I got in to see him he wanted to put me on anti anxiety meds and that everything would clear up if I started running again (?) I wonder if I was a man complaining of the same things if that would be the suggestion....Anyway after bickering with the Dr. I was sent for a abdominal scan and turns out I have uterine… fibroids. I am switching docs. Just a note****His staff is exceptional, I do love Jessica and Patty. I will miss them.

Don't know why the bad reviews, maybe he was having a bad day? We all have them.... New patient, saw him for a physical -- asked appropriate questions, seemed to take appropriate notes, spent more than enough time with me. In fact, I was backing out the door and he was still talking. No problem there. Definitely opinionated, but seems to match some of my opinions of "health care" nowadays.

My husband and I use him for our PCP. He is great. No problems. He's pleasant and supportive of us. We have seen him many times for sick visits for one of our children. He is caring and really listens to what we think is going on and respects our opinions in treatment.

Dr Mattin does not keep his facts straight, will give one reason one day and will contradict himself another day. During an exam, he will do as little as possible and usually seems more interested in getting to his next appointment than concerning himself with the patient in front of him. Instead of taking accurate notes, he chooses to make his own assumptions and write it down as fact. I would not recommend this doctor.
