Dr. Maywood is such a wonderful and conscientious physician. Staff is FABULOUS. Gloria and Jenny make going to the doctor fun, yes fun. Not to mention, very professional. Very cheerful, and on the ball. I wish all physicians were like Dr. Mike.

Dr. Maywood is an excellent family doctor. He has been my family doctor for about 25 years. He is an excellent MD and a good listener! Very good at diagnosing and recommending the right path to take towards other specialties and treatments. You will love this office!

DR Maywood has been my doctor for the past 4 years. He is very knowledgeable, courteous and professional. His staff, Gloria and Jenny are an absolute pleasure to deal with. With thier recent move to La Jolla there was absolutely no consideration on my part with regard to start looking for another DR.

Dr Maywood takes the time to listen and thinks outside the box. He fights for the health of his patients and is able to diagnose rare co digits due to his willingness to listen to his patient. His staff is excellent and you always feel better leaving his office even if you are still sick, if only because you know he will do everything he can to treat you.

Dr. Maywood was my doctor for 10 years and my late husbands for 17. Due to an insurance issue I had to leave the practice but am back after two years. And SO GLAD to be with a doctor who listens and is thorough. I just had my physical and he spent over an hour with me personally going over labs and discussing diets etc. What a blessing to have such a fine physcian, advocate, and friend in my corner. Not to mention the staff...who are delightful and will go out their way to assist you. So Glad I'm Back!

Dr. Maywood was my doctor many years ago and became my doctor again about two years ago. I've been very happy with both him and his staff. Appointments are easily available on short notice, everyone is nice, and my health has improved under his care.

Dr. Maywood is an intellectually lazy physician who excels at holding a patient's hand and making them feel good, but caution is advised if you are really ill. When last I checked he was not up to date on his Internal Medicine Boards.

He hasn't kept up on his continuing medical education, has lapsed on his internal medicine recertification, and has gone concierge in the past few years. Wants a large retainer to allow patients to remain in his practice. I can no longer recommend him.
