Great experience

After a month of numerous constipation incidents, I was not getting the relief from recommendations I had received from another physician. He had performed a sigmoidoscopy with negative results. Without an appointment, the friendly and courteous staff of Dr. McKinney knew the discomfort I was having. I obtained an appointment that day. After he reviewed my previous tests and medical history Dr. Mckinney made a diagnosis. He determined the potential causes and suggested an alternative treatment. He was very sympathetic in my concerns and answered all my questions. There are not a lot of gastroenterologists in Cottonwood and my decision to seek a second option resulted in relief that afternoon. I

Dr Mckinney is absolutely the best! My husband and I had our procedures a week apart. He took time with us to explain clearly his findings after our colonoscopies. His staff is also wonderful. I would recommend Dr Mckinney anytime! Thank You Dr. Mckinney!

Dr McKinney is one of the most caring providers. He listens! My mother absolutely loved him, he was always available and took time with her. If ever there is a need for Dr McKinney's specialty I 100% recommend him!

I found Dr McKinney to be highly knowledgeable in his field. He was courteous and precise.; I would highly recommend him knowing he has the experience and knowledge in what he is doing. I gave the 5 stars because I felt it was worthy and I was a delighted patient with the visit and procedure I had done.

Dr. McKinney and I met after I had gone to the ER 3 times and been hospitalized twice. During those visits with other physicians I was told I needed to eat more fiber, I had IBS I was drug seeking the list goes on. I finally got placed into Dr. McKinney's hands and he took the time to listen to me and told me then" I believe you, I believe you are sick and if you give me time I will find it". He did I had a very large ulcer that was invading my pancreas. Had he dismissed me like the others had I would not be typing this I would have been dead. Thank you Dr. McKinney for caring!

I saw McKinney at the end of what may have been a long day for him. He listened to me, but offered no thoughts or ideas or possible diagnosis or possible methods to treat symptoms He remained expressionless. He routinely prescribed a colonoscopy ($4,800 and an ultrasound ($1,400) to be performed at the local hospital. My insurance carrier (BCBS) recommended that I save money by using an outpatient facility, but there are none that do this in AZ. Turns out I have allergies and all the big money procedures were a painful and expensive waste of time and money. He benefitted. I did not.

I had serious GI issues and this doctor did not (maybe could not) help me. His bedside manner was atrocious. I asked direct questions that he out right ignored. He was condescending, interrupted me when he felt like it. At times ignored me (the patient) and talked to my husband instead. Finally when I thought I would get direction to cure what sent me to an ER three times ,his treatment plan plan was vague and mostly was just, "eat more fiber". Also he seems to be dead set on doing colonoscopys for any symptom. In my case he called it diagnostic instead of a regular screening and my insurance company refused to pay for it. Of course the colonoscopy was negative, and useless $3,500 for nothing. Avoid him if you can. His office staff is way nice.

By worst doctor I have EVER seen! Worst bed side manners and I wouldn't recommend him to my worst enemy, office staff was wonderful though!

Dr. McKinney operated on me a few months ago and was excellent. I never had any pain or any discomfort after the operation. He spent time with me and made sure that I was okay. I was able to contact him if I had any problems. I give him a 4-Star
