Dr. Michael Metzler, MD

Dr. Metzler saved my life Dec 30th, 2016. He has done 2 major abdominal surgeries for me since then, and each time went great. I am so very thankful that he was on call when I was rushed to the Emergency room after my Ob/Gyn knicked my colon during a hysterectomy unknowingly. I was in Septic Shock, respiratory failure and in a very fast downward spiral. Dr. Metzler performed emergency surgery removing a foot of my colon, and creating a colostomy bag. I was so sick, and spent the better part of the next year and a half fighting the terrible infection that I had as a result of being Septic. Very long story short. He saved my life and he alone is the reason I am still here able to mother my young children. A year and a half later he performed the reversal surgery and took away the colostomy bag and put me back together, again a very successful surgery. Now I am 6 weeks post op from him repairing 2 very large incisional hernias with mesh and bilateral component seperation. He is a very… special man to my family, and we will forever hold him dear to our hearts. I tear up thinking about how much that man means to me. I would trust my children's lives in his hands, and he is the only surgeon I will let touch me.

Dr. Metzler is not only a brilliant surgeon but a compassionate caring surgeon that truly cares for his patients! Twenty two years ago he saved my daughters life! Having spent 7 months in a hospital dealing with several surgeons with more ego issues than brains I can attest to Dr. Metzler being one of the BEST!
