Dr. Michael John Miller, MD

I am a plastic surgeon who specializes in breast reconstruction for women who have had a mastectomy due to breast cancer, although I perform a full range of plastic surgery procedures, including aesthetic surgery. My specialties include breast reconstruction after cancer treatment, mammoplasty, mastectomy and microsurgery. , I am the chair of Ohio State's Wexner Medical Center's Department of Plastic Surgery. I follow a multidisciplinary, multimodal approach to care that is based on extensive research and collaboration with colleagues across all medical disciplines, but in plastic surgery, that extends to non-medical programs, such as engineering. Our intention is to provide the very best care for patients with the very best outcomes. We have the benefit of collaborating with research colleagues from across the OSUCCC A James to develop, perfect and utilize some of the most advanced surgical techniques for breast reconstruction. My clinical interests primarily focus on cancer-related …reconstructive surgery, but also a range of aesthetic surgeries, such as breast augmentation procedures. My research interests focuses on tissue repair and regeneration, as well as advanced technology in clinical surgery. Today we know so much more about breast cancer and its treatment. New treatments, as well as improved reconstructive surgery, mean that women who have breast cancer today have better choices.
