Dr. Michael Allen Miller, MD

First off he was very rude. After only spending 7 minutes with me I asked him 3 relevant questions and he told me that he "can't solve all my problems"...And that I'm already overstaying my visit. Mind you I was there for less than 10 minutes. Says he has an interest in COPD on the DuPage medical group website, however he misdiagnosed me and said my cough/sputum was simply a repercussion of my GERD and all I would have to do is switch antacids. Next day my symptoms worsen and I find out I have bronchitis from a doctor that was willing to actually spend the appropriate amount of time checking over my symptoms. I needed antibiotics, NOT prilosec OTC.

Dr. Miller was great. I usually dislike most physicians and needed to see someone because of an auto accident. I got an appointment at this office the following day, Dr. Miller did a thorough assessment and provided me with everything I needed. He was very kind and treated me like a human unlike the physicians at the emergency department! The staff here was also very efficient and empathetic.

I am surprised by the other reviews, which are so negative. I have seen Dr. Miller several times, and have found him to be very open to discuss any questions I have, which he has answered thoroughly until I was satisfied. I never felt he was condescending to me, even when I have not always gotten all the tests done he referred. He is rather matter of fact, so not real warm and fuzzy. However, he is always very cordial and welcoming. He always follows up appointments with comments and reminders on MyChart. I have a great deal of confidence in him, and feel he is quite competent. I would definitely give him another chance, if were one of those who did not have such a welcoming experience!

He is very condescending and completely lacks compassion. I can't say a whole lot about his skill as a doctor, since I disliked him so much I would never go back and therefore only have one experience on which to base an assessment of his medical skills. I can say he didn't listen long or well enough to give a diagnosis that I would trust. I am literally floored by what a rude and uncaring person he is. In any other profession, someone who treats people as he does wouldn't have a job no matter how skilled.

delayed deadly diagnosis

Dr. Miller inappropriately diagnosed my father. He misread his imaging results. I read the report myself and correctly noted the abnormal findings. He ignored multiple pertinent serious symptoms during his assessment. Bedside manner was horrendous. I would not send my worst enemy to this physician.

Disrespectful. Poor diagnostic skills and bedside manner
