Dr. Michael Shannon Moody, MD

He was my Dr about 20 yrs ago and I would like to see him again if possible

My husband has been going to this physician for a number of years. Doctor's staff very unprofessional, always bill out of network laboratories which creates unnecessary costs to patient! He needs to find a better physician with a professional staff! He's a quackadoodle doctor!! Also he always wants to perform bloodwork every 6 months which for cholesterol and its only required once a year!

The best doctor I've ever met.

I have never been more disappointed in a doctor in my life. Dr. Moody was my primary physician for about 12 years. He saw all of my family. However, this past Friday I went into his office and had a stomach bug and the beginnings of sinus problems. He completely ignored the sinus issues. I developed a sinus infection (which has been a fairly regular problem lately) and I went back on Tuesday. Dr. Moody refused to see me and referred me to a ENT. However, because of my new insurance the appointment was going to cost me $250 which I could not afford. I called Dr. Moody to explain the situation and to see what he could do for me.....to which he shrugged his shoulders and said there was nothing he could do. He wouldn't even talk to me because had he I would have explained that I was looking for new insurance and would make the appointment with the specialists as soon as possible. Instead he left me to suffer. After being a patient for so many years I feel I deserved better… treatment than that and I will never use his services again if he doesn't care for his patients any more than that.

We moved here 7 years ago from Florida.and we was in search of a Good Family Dr.will we heard about Dr.Moody from A family member and have been with Dr Moody ever since.he really make you feel at ease. My kids Love him they are all Teenagers. I was a little worried because they had their pediatrician since they was born.and they was very happy with her. so I thought it would be hard.but no Dr Moody made them feel really comfortable.so they really like going to him he encourgage them to go to school and get their education.Also he tell them about how he got to were he's at.and talk with them about sports and a lot of other things. I love his since of humor as well he is very funny.He is an Awesome Dr.

So I went to see dr moody on a Wednesday and was told my labs would be in the next day and I would get a call...no call so I called them on Friday and the person who answered labs was extremely rude and told me they would be in on Monday so I call on Monday and still no labs and girl still extremely rude...so I am yet to hear about my labs and after calling again I was told they really have no idea when they will come in which is crazy to me the fact that they would lie and say days when they don't know not to mention the rudeness on the phone...I will never go back there if I really need honesty or labs or anything in a decent amount of time. What is funny is dr moody told me he would personally call me before the weekend so I wouldn't have to worry and he never did...

I am very disappointed with Dr Moody. I expect my primary care doctor to follow up and support me when I ha ve problems. Dr Moody left me without appropriate care after the blood pressure medication that he prescribed stopped working. I called the office after discovering elevated blood pressure (150/100) requesting to be seen so that the doctor could tweak my medication to get me back on track. I was told that my doctor wouldnot seems and that I needed to see a specialist. Aftercallingthe specialist and finding out that they could not see me for a month I called Dr moody back and asked for guidance or a new perscription in the meantime. I was told that by his office staff (I was never allowed to speak to the doctor) that there was nothing he could do and i needed to see a specialist. By this time it was a day later and my bl was 170/102! If I left my life in this man's hands I would have died of a stroke waiting to see a specialist! He talks a good game but you can't count kn him… in a pinch

I've been to this doctor several times. The office staff is trailer trash, and very unprofessional. During three visits, the total time I spent with this doctor was 15 minutes. The follow ups are horrible. Please take it from me, see Dr.Burton next door, and stay clear from this quack. Or, just find another primary care physician.

I have had an awful experience with them. I waited for 50 minutes before being told they forgot about me, then I was asked if I had fasted for my test, and I had not because I wasn't told I needed to, so my time was wasted. The nurse was EXTREMEMELY rude. She told me it was my fault, yelled at me, snatched papers out of my hand, and slammed the door. I have never had anyone be so rude to me in my entire life!

The only negatives are that there are no weekend or evening hours and the office location could be in a better part of town....
